Custom Transcription

Struggling to learn a song and need some help? From short one-bar extracts of a groove or fill through to complete full-song transcriptions, we can provide the sheet music you need in standard drum kit notation.

A professionally notated PDF of the requested material. Audio and MIDI files can also be provided on request.
Pricing
Most single-song transcriptions fall in the $10–$20 range. Longer or more complex songs cost more, and simple one-bar extracts start at $5. You'll always receive a quote before work begins.
Turnaround
Average wait time is 3 working days. During busy periods this can be up to two weeks — you'll always be kept informed.

Transcription & Playing Guides

Need more than just the notes? A playing guide goes beyond transcription to give you a full walkthrough of a song — explaining techniques, counting, sticking, and anything else you need to actually play the parts.

Guides are completely customised to your specifications. You can provide detailed requirements upfront or add them in after the initial guide is completed. Audio and MIDI files can be included if needed.

Drum Music Arrangement

Do you have an existing piece of drum music that needs adapting? Need a drum part written from scratch, or want a second opinion on something you've already written?

Free advice
We're happy to offer constructive feedback on drum parts over email at no charge. Send a link to a video or an audio clip and we'll give you honest, practical suggestions on how to improve it. We can also advise on which rudiments or exercises would help with specific parts of a song — again free of charge.
Custom composition
Are you a songwriter without a drummer? We can write an electronic drum part and provide a MIDI file you can mix into your track. For a higher fee we can record a live part in the studio, including video of the session and full transcriptions of all parts. Studio hire costs are included in the quote.
Pricing
Email feedback is free. MIDI composition starts from $30 depending on complexity. Live studio recordings are quoted individually.

Worksheet Creation

Copy Up Service

Have you already created a rough transcription and want it professionally notated? Whether it's teaching notes you've scribbled down, a part you've worked out by ear, or a drum part for your band's original song, we'll copy it up into clean, professional drum notation to your exact specifications.

This service is also available for video lessons — we can provide an accompanying transcription in a format that works as either printed notes or a small graphic embedded in your video.

What am I paying for?
The time it takes to create the material — all PDFs are provided as part of the service. Pricing is based on a rate of $15 per hour of work, and you'll always receive a clear quote before any work begins.
How does pricing work?
Everything is priced on time at $15/hour. Factors that affect how long a job takes include: the length and complexity of the song or material, the quality of the original recording, and how much detail is required. You'll receive an honest quote upfront based on your specific request.
Do you use AI in your work?
No AI is used in the creation of any material. Everything is done by ear by Dan using Sibelius. AI tools are used for other aspects of running the site, but not in the content itself.
What forms of payment do you take?
Currently PayPal only. If you don't have a PayPal account we can send an eBill that can be paid by card through their secure system without needing an account.
How long does it take?
It varies depending on the complexity of the request and how many jobs are in the queue. The average wait time from request to delivery is 3 working days, though during busy periods this can extend to a maximum of two weeks. You'll always be kept informed of progress.
What format does my material come in?
PDF by default. Graphic formats (GIF, JPEG, PNG) and MIDI can also be provided on request.
What if I have questions or see an error after receiving my material?
If there's anything you're unsure about or not happy with, just get in touch and we'll talk you through it and make any necessary changes. Support is part of the service.
Will my transcription be added to the Drumscore collection?
Yes, but not for a minimum of one month after your request is completed. If you'd prefer your transcription not to be added to the collection, just let us know when you place your request.
