In this lesson you will be shown five simple 'AAAB' patterns in 4/4, all of which are based on our '33334' Multi Rhythmed Groove. You can find a link to this lesson at the bottom of the page a long with some other useful lessons. I recomend you work through the lesson on the straight groove before trying these patterns as the base groove can get quite complex. The point of these exercises is to both improve your double kick playing and to give you some ideas for applying this groove concept practically.

There won't really be much new in terms of part construction, this page will be all about maintaining that constant sixteenth note while various other things are happening over the hands. Use all given examples as a starting point to create your own versions of the part.
