In this level 3 rudiment workout lesson your left hand will be pushed with a one bar sixteenth note exercise moving between a nine stroke roll and single stroke four with reversed stickings. This is built up over several steps starting with the straight snare version of the rudiment. This allows you focus on one element of the exercise at a time without things getting too complicated which is useful when reversing a sticking you are comfortable with. While you are mostly focusing on the left hand, you will actually be developing all areas of playing making it a very useful all round exercise.
