In this groove concept you will be creating syncopated linear eighth note 5/4 patterns that all follow a set phrasing. A linear pattern is one where only one voice is used at a time, so patterns like the level 0 grooves wouldn't be linear as they have kicks and snares falling together. The phrasing used for this set of linear patterns will be '334'. Remember, these numbers refer to the amount of eighth notes you will find in each grouping. They will all still be played at an even speed, the phrasing is more to do with how the patterns are orchestrated.
