In this 16th Note 9 Stroke Roll orchestration lesson you will be learning another very simple pattern that involves moving around the kit within the confines of the rudiments rhythm. This time you will be focusing on more of a staggered grouping where the rudiment is split into blocks of six. You actually only get one full block of six which is then followed by two sixteenth notes and a minim. The move between voices will happen on the '+' count after beat 2 and the first hand to play the new voice will be a left.

Remember, you hands will always be playing a 9 stroke roll sticking in all exercises on this page. I have included feet in all exercises, it may be worth removing them whilst you are learning the orchestration then adding them back in later. Experiment with using different feet patterns from our previous lessons.
