The Time Signature of 5/8.
  • There are five quaver counts in a bar of 5/8.
  • 5/8 can be either simple or compound.
  • When in simple time the first and third quaver counts are usually strong.
  • When in compound time the first and fourth quaver counts are usually strong.

The Time Signature of 6/4.
  • There are six crotchet counts in a bar of 6/4.
  • 6/4 is normally a simple time signature.
  • The strong beats are usually all six crotchet counts.

7/4

  • 7/4 is normally a simple time signature.

The Time Signature of 7/8.
  • There are seven quaver counts in a bar of 7/8.
