Double Stroke Triplet With Constant Swung Eighth Note Feet

In this lesson you will be adding eighth note feet patterns underneath the Double Stroke Triplet. To make the feet line up with the hands you are going to play the feet in swing time. At the bottom of the page I have included a link to an article on this, have a look through if you aren't familiar with the idea. The rhythm for the hands will be an Eighth Note Triplet rhythm so the feet will fall with the first and third note of the triplets.

The feet patterns in this lesson will be the same as those given in similar lessons for different rudiments. They are important to practice though as the co ordination and independence between limbs will be drastically different with this rudiment. Remember to use a metronome as much as possible and to work on the timing slowly before pushing the tempo to higher speeds.

Standard and reverse sticking has been shown for each exercise, working on both versions is very important.
