The Need for Change at Drumscore

Dan explains the need for changes to the site

Since its inception in 2003, Drumscore has been committed to the education, playing improvement and shared learning through providing quality scores, resources and services within the drumming community. These resources and services have existed as an entirely free service for nine years, growing rapidly year on year in popularity around the world to drummers of all al levels and playing styles.

Whilst I have done my best to keep things going as a free service, unfortunately it is no longer viable. Due to its popularity and growth the site is becoming expensive to maintain, update, host and store its now vast and popular drumming community resources.

There has been strong support for the site to be maintained from the drumming community. Therefore, starting immediately, there will be a small nominal charge to download any scores. Please note, the scores themselves still remain free; the charge is to only cover the costs of the maintenance and development of the site. This charge not only guarantees the existence of the site but allows me to continue the addition of many exciting new features requested by drummers in the future.

I would like to thank everyone who has bought copies of the books and used the request a song service, without you the site would have ceased to exist long ago!
