The Single Stroke Four In Groups Of Two

In this orchestration of the Single Stroke Four you will be using the standard 'R L R L' sticking and using groups of two to create new patterns. A similar pattern has been using in This Single Stroke Roll orchestration lesson and you may find it helpful to have covered these exercises first.

The ochestration idea presented in this lesson is pretty simple, each beats worth of rudiment will be played over two different voices with two strokes on each. This can either be the same orchestration through the full bar or it can change throughout. There are a lot of options with this idea and only a small number of exercises have been given. Use the given ideas to create your own versions of this idea.
