About Me
 My name is Dan Brigstock and I'm a 26 year old private music teacher from Derby, England. I've been playing drums since 1994, and have been teaching them since 1999. I got into playing after friends got me into bands such as Metallica, Nirvana, Queen, Muse, 3 Colours Red, Coal Chamber and No Doubt. I got a few lessons and taught my self a load of stuff and after a couple of months I put together a band. It was the usual school kid stuff, but it went on to form All Things Forgotten who were a very big learning experience for me (and alot of fun too ...). You can have a listen at the bottom of this page! Over the last few years my playing has come on along way, mainly thanks to the great teachers I've had, and incredible musicians i've had the pleasure of working with. At the moment I'm working with my regular band Addictive Philosophy finishing up our debut album and preparing to tour it. Although I try to be a good all rounder in my playing I'm a big alternative rock player. I'm known for my aggressive, melodic and intricate playing aswell as my wild hair... Equipment
My main kit is a Tame Superstar Hyperdrive in a white finish with black hardware. I use these sizes: 6.5"x10" Rack Tom 7"x12" Rack Tom 12"x14" Floor Tom 14"x16" Floor Tom 18"x22"Kick Drum 5.5"x14" Snare 10"x3" Sonar Jungle Force Second Snare I use Meinl Cymbals (with a couple of exceptions...) 4" Salt Custom Click Chime 8" Classic Bell 10" Raker Splash 14" Amun Medium Dry Hi Hats 17" Amun Crash 18" MB20 Crash Crash 19" MB20 Crash 22" Paiste 2002 Power Ride 18" Unmarked zildjian crash full of cracks Kit Mountable Tambourine Yamaha DTXplorer drum brain and trigger I use remo skins (coated pinstripes on toms, coated emporer on snare and powerstroke 3 on the bass). Tama hardware and Iron Cobra double pedal. Pro Mark 'Neil Peart Signature' sticks.
